Bathgate farm

Bathgate Farm is a family business owned by Jocelyn and Andrew Bathgate.  The Bathgates commenced farming in 2006 after settling in the Cuthbert area, located about 10km outside the centre of Albany.  They grow a varied range of vegetable and salad lines with a focus on quality, including some not readily available in grocery shops and supermarkets.  They farm using methods that minimise the impact on the environment by limiting the use of pesticides and using practices that improve soil health.  Bathgate Farm also specialise in growing potatoes and are uniquely placed to provide new potato varieties to market customers before they are available to the broader public.  As stallholders at Albany Farmers Market, the Bathgates enjoy the chance to connect directly with their customers and meet people who share their interest in good food.
