Redgum Hill Orchard
Redgum Hill Orchard is a family operated orchard that was established in 1912. For 108 years it was in the care of the Sounness family until April, 2020 when ownership transferred to the Mather family. The orchard is busy all year. Autumn harvest is built around apples and pears. The varieties of apples being produced include Royal Gala, Red and Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Lady Williams, Sundowners, Fuji and Blushing Gold. The pear varieties are Packhams, Beurre Bosc, Josephine and Nashis. In late Spring/ early Summer the stone fruit pick begins and continues until the end of Summer. Cherries are the first stone fruit to be picked and they are usually available until Christmas. These are followed by nectarines, apricots, peaches and plums.
